Dear AI students

Dear AI students: Congraulations on passing my AI class in Summer E. I must admit that it was tough to cover so many topics in a few weeks. Sorry, some students could not continue due to too many hard assignments. Yes, we did so many home works such as "The price is right" game exploring huge search space, non-linear function optimization methods, evolutionary optimization, perceptron, and feed forward neural-net with backpropagation, including the following individual projects. I wish everyone could find optimal path all the time in the search-space of your life. Again, it is important to make a good balance between exploration and exploitation to find the optimal path in your life, too. Thank you again, ChanJin

Final Projects (order of demo)

Lufu demonstrated improved intelligent online teaching evaluation on the web using Java Servlets
Jun implemented Chung's Connect 4 using MinMax tree with Java GUI. No one could win the program. Here is the zipped jar program(You need JDK to run this program). If you win, please let me know by sending an email at chung@ltu.edu. Here is an applet version of the system.
Joue implement server side "Perceptron" to recognize seven segment digits using TINI board with Java. The demo was done on Friday in the Robotics Lab.
Geoff and Shaakir demeonstrated two micro Khepera robot games on July 25 in the robotics lab. They have spent a lot of time in the lab this hot summer to program Khepera robots using GNU C++ compiler. Geoff won Maze race and Shaakir won Box Pushing race. Here is the result in the following table. Also check out photos of the games: 1, 2, and 3. We used longer race track than the one in Germany (Autonomous Minirobots for Research and Edutainment" - AMiRE 2001).

Khashayar solved a tough scheduling problem with known due dates using Brute force method, Branch and Bound, and Evolutionary Algorithm
