Summer Robot Camp 2000
for Children of Lawrence Tech Faculty and Staff
In order to celebrate the grand
opening of LTU’s “Intelligent Systems and Autonomous Robotics Lab”
(Robotics Lab), Dr. Chung, Math and Computer Science, is cordially inviting the
children of LTU
faculty and staff to a Lego Robot class for free. This class will teach the
construction of robot bodies and the development of real-time programs using RCX
code. Hands-on knowledge and techniques from this class can be used for
participating robotics competitions such as FLL in December 2000 and LTU’s
RoboFest in April next year. Participants will work in teams of two. Please
register early since maximum class size is 10. First come, first serve rule
applies. Details are as follows.
Eligibility: Children and Grandchild of Lawrence Tech Faculty and Staff
Ages: 12 years old to senior in High School
How to register: email your name, child’s name, age and relationship to you to chung@ltu.edu.
When (Two class meetings):
Where: CW21, a new robotics lab in CSC building
Fee: Free
Required Material: Nothing.
Just curiosity and enthusiasm
