Welcome to my Webpage!

Newsflash
Now here's a truly unbelievable one: the website devoted to my hobbies is finally up! (It is still far from completion; but at least it's up...!)

Nixiana.com

Once there, take the chance to check out the Nixie Tube Propeller Clock, featured in the February edition of the Circuit Cellar magazine.

Jumping Board

Disclaimer: This website is still under construction. (So what else is new...? :-) ) Currently it is merely a random dump of loosely connected topics; however, hopefully soon, this all will be woven into a grand unified website design. Until then [WHEN???], please bear with the chaos...

Taubman Center Amateur Movie

The A. Alfred Taubman Student Services Center is the latest addition to the LTU campus. My amateur time-lapse movie shows the construction from almost the beginning to the day of the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on April 7, 2006; a fun little project, whose details I am glad to share.

Microprocessors Course Resources

In the ECE Department's Microprocessors course and corresponding lab, the concepts of modern microprocessors are demonstrated through the Motorola 68000 processing unit. The primary motivation for this decision is that the 68000's assembly language is considered by many as "The Latin of All Assemblies", at least within the realm of CISC (Complex Instruction Set Computer) devices. The magnificent EASy68K 68000 Assembly Language Tool includes an editor, assembler, simulator and even source-level debugger for the development of 68000 assembly programs. The Microprocessors resources of this site focus on the 68000 processor and the EASy68K.

Successful ABET Efforts

The LTU Electrical & Computer Engineering Department has successfully survived its Fall 2004 visit from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. In August 2005, ABET informed our department that both of our undergraduate programs (Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering) got accredited until September 30, 2011! Check out the ECE Department's Continuous Process Improvement page for more information on our ABET-related efforts.

Dr. Anneberg's ECE Logo Contest

One of the coolest grass-root initiatives at the ECE Department is Dr. Anneberg's Spring 2004 ECE Logo Contest. Unfortunately to this day the department does not have a simple graphic identity, i.e., a logo in a classic sense; however, should this initiative be rekindled in the future, my designs will be at the ready... :-)
