I coordinate alot of lab classes, so at the start of a term, I have a whole list of new courses in Blackboard, but also the list of the old classes - too many classes! As I was trying to figure out how to "move" some of those classes to a different window, I stumbled upon a configuration setting that I had never seen (right there in front of our faces all the time).
A) Does your Blackboard courses look like this in the start of the term? The old term's classes are still there, and you have to scroll down to get to the new classes.
If only there were a better way ....

B) See that little "pencil" icon in the corner of that myCourses window .. click it .. go ahead, something good will happen!

C) SWEEEEET - we have control over which courses show in that Courses box - we can uncheck the "Display Course" choice and also uncheck the "Display Annoucements" box (otherwise you get a whole list of "there are no announcements" ... trust me.)
Clearly you want to leave your current courses checked ... and their announcements.
Also, should you ever need to get back to one of those courses while they are still there - you can just click the little pencil icon and enable the courses again!
And all is good with the world ....
