Wireless LTU Laptops - fun for one and all!

We now have wireless laptops on campus - with great new possibilities .. but maybe there are some things to configure, or tweak - here is a collection of tips/tricks. If you are looking for TABLET PC information - specific to the tablets - look HERE. (Almost all of the tips below work just fine with the Tablets!)

Getting Started

• WinXP laptops : Adding yourself to the "Local Administrators" group      I'm begging you .. do this first!
• WinXP: Wait - what if you can't remember if you added yourself to the "Local Administrators" group ??    Click here to investigate!
• Installing Adobe Acrobat Reader (do the 'local administrator' thing first!) .. See, I begged you!
• Cleaning out spyware with Ad-Aware

To webmail or NOT to webmail, that is the question!

Outlook Express stuff (and Outlook2002 {OL2002} stuff)
