Microsoft Word Insert and Delete |
|
|
1 |
|
Open another new document (see
Step 3) |
|
|
|
The Title Bar (FIRST bar
- Step 2) of this new document displays "Microsoft Word - Document
4" |
|
You are going to DELETE
"lessons". This is easy because your cursor IS flashing where
you want to take this action (ie, after the letter "s" in the word
"lessons") |
|
3 |
|
Hit the Backspace key on your keyboard (two keys
ABOVE your Enter key) seven times to remove "lessons" and, then, one
more time to remove the space |
|
Now, after the words "Learn to
type", you are going to INSERT the words "in 2 hours". The
cursor is NOT flashing where you want to take this action, so
you need to: |
|
4 |
|
Position
your mouse pointer to the left of the word "with" and
click. Is your cursor flashing
(move your mouse pointer away to see it
clearly)? |
|
5 |
|
Type the words "in 2 hours" and
hit the space bar (the long bar on the bottom row of your keyboard)
once |
|
You are going to CHANGE
the word "with" to the word "using". Your cursor IS flashing
where you want to take this action |
|
6 |
|
Hit the Delete key on your keyboard (up one row and
to the right of Enter) four times to remove the word
"with" |
To INSERT text, position your mouse pointer and click. Then, type. To DELETE, use
your Backspace key to delete to
the LEFT and Delete key to delete
to the RIGHT |
